MMA fans may be tuning in this weekend for only the second UFC event on Fuel TV, but the fight card for the fourth one is starting to see some action in terms of development. The July event, still without an actual location, recently received a bout between James Te Huna and Brandon Vera.
Te Huna confirmed the news of the fight on his Twitter account.
The 30-year old Te Huna (14-5) is coming off back-to-back first round victories over Aaron Rosa and Ricardo Romero. The wins helped get him back on track after a submission loss last February to Alexander Gustafsson snapped a six-fight winning streak.
Vera (12-5) was given a second chance to compete inside the Octagon after temporarily being cut and took advantage of it, defeating Eliot Marshall. At one time, it appeared Vera would face rival Thiago Silva in a rematch of their controversial clash last year but an injury kept him from taking the fight. In early 2011, Silva defeated Vera, but tested positive for a banned substance and the fight was overturned to a No Contest.
No other match-ups have been rumored/revealed for the show.
