After a UFC on Fuel 2 card filled with finishes, it appears Paulo Thiago and Alessio Sakara, who each suffered knockout losses, were the only two fighters issued medical suspensions. Both Thiago and Sakara will be forced to sit on the sidelines for 28 days.
Thiago was defeated by Siyar Bahaduzada in what was named the show’s Knockout of the Night. The strike-based stoppage was the first the Brazilian had ever suffered in his career.
Meanwhile, Sakara was handed a loss by Brian Stann in the evening’s co-headliner. The loss was his second straight though the first time he’d been knocked out in nearly four years.
Both suspensions were first reported by MMAJunkie.
