UFC President Dana White was forced to miss Tuesday night’s UFC on Fuel 3 card due to surgery for Meniere’s Disease. White will go under the knife in Los Angeles, so with the show taking place in Virginia he was unable to attend.
Meniere’s disease is a condition where fluid in the ear gets too high, causing issues with balance and hearing. It resembles a severe case of Vertigo.
“First fight I will miss in 11 years an it is killing me,” White wrote on his Twitter account Tuesday. “I have to have surgery in L.A. tomorrow or trust me I would be (at the card).”
White has been able to go from state-to-state and even country-to-country to make events, but obviously his health and well-being is more important than even this streak. However, it’s not to say the outspoken executive wasn’t feisty as a fan sitting at home watching things unfold on TV even going so far as to call out a few of his coworkers and demand they show fighters’ entrances in the future on all televised events.
