Roland Delorme and Francisco Rivera might want to take it easy over these next few weeks inside the gym, as the two fighters have been signed to compete on the injury-riddled UFC 149 card on July 21 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Injuries have sent UFC officials to the drawing board on a number of instances with this card including the likes of Jose Aldo, Michael Bisping, and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira being removed from action.
Delorme (8-1) is off to a perfect 2-0 start since signing with the UFC. He has toppled both Nick Denis and Josh Ferguson inside the Octagon.
Rivera (8-2), meanwhile, sports a 1-1 UFC mark, having defeated Alex Soto in his most recent appearance.
Delorme-Rivera is slated to be part of the prelims for the evening. The main card boasts Urijah Faber-Renan Barao for the interim bantamweight championship.
