Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy weigh-ins take place; Rockhold hits mark on second try

Luke Rockhold, the reigning Strikeforce middleweight champion, needed to burn off half-a-pound to make his bout with Tim Kennedy official.

Rockhold did, hitting the 185-pound mark for his title defense with Kennedy Saturday night at Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy. The main card airs on Showtime, with the Rockhold-Kennedy contest taking the featured spot.

Nate Marquardt and Tyron Woodley will collide in the co-main event for the vacant Strikeforce welterweight title. Both fighters came in at 169.5 for their encounter.
