Antonio Silva wants little more than to score that elusive first UFC victory. At UFC on FX 5, Silva will face Travis Browne in a scheduled five-round main event. The card takes place from Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Browne (13-0-1) was knocked off the upcoming UFC on FOX 4 card after Ben Rothwell went down with an injury. Fortunately, he didn’t have to wait long for a new opponent to come calling in “Bigfoot.”
“No easy fights in the UFC,” said Silva during a recent interview with Tatame. “He’s a striker. His stand-up is pretty good and he’s also a purple belt in jiu-jitsu with good takedown defenses. He’s a tough guy; will be a good fight.”
Silva (16-4) was dropped by former UFC heavyweight champ Cain Velasquez earlier this year in his debut with the UFC. He also made the semifinals of the Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix, falling to eventual champion Daniel Cormier via knockout.
