The UFC‘s matchmaking team has been working overtime this week to fill several open slots for upcoming cards, most recently announcing Dan Miller and Sean Pierson will collide at UFC 152 on September 22 from Toronto’s Air Canada Centre.
Miller (14-6) will be after his second consecutive victory after submitting Ricardo Funch a few months back in his welterweight debut. Meanwhile, Pierson (12-6) is also coming off a win, having defeated Jake Hecht back in June. The victory stopped a two-fight losing skid in matches with Dong Hyun Kim and Jake Ellenberger.
The main event of the evening’s card features Joseph Benavidez and Demetrious Johnson meeting to become the first-ever UFC flyweight champion. Other bouts include Michael Bisping vs. Brian Stann and Rory MacDonald vs. B.J. Penn.
