Dana White: “In no way, shape or form am I discounting (Dan) Henderson winning this fight.”

Dan Henderson has been inside the cage with many of the biggest names ever in MMA. Henderson, a former Olympic wrestling alternate, has defeated such foes as Fedor Emelianenko, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, Wanderlei Silva, Rich Franklin and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira.

Despite his accomplishments, come September 1 “Hendo” will attempt to claim his first-ever UFC championship when he meets Jon Jones for the light heavyweight title at UFC 151.

After the post-event presser for this weekend’s UFC 150 card had concluded, UFC President Dana White was called out by media for saying the most impressive 205-pound winner at UFC on FOX 4 would receive a shot at Jones, possibly hinting at the notion of him favoring “Bones” in the upcpoming bout.

“That’s crazy. In no way, shape or form am I discounting Henderson winning this fight,” said White. “Henderson can win this fight. He has knockout power in both hands, great wrestling, a good chin and he’s not afraid to mix it up with anybody.”

“He will go until he either gets stopped or stops Jones,” added White. “This is not a gimme fight, not even close.”
