The UFC continues to try and make the flyweight division as deep and talented as possible. While the company’s first-ever 125-pound champion will be crowned at UFC 152 when Joseph Benavidez takes on Demetrious Johnson, the division received another possible future contender thanks to a signing from overseas.
English prospect Phil Harris has signed with the promotion though an exact date for his debut is currently unknown.
Harris, who trains out of the GYM 01 in England, is 21-9-1 in his career. He has finished seventeen of the opponents he’s beaten including thirteen by way of submission and enters the Octagon on a five-fight winning streak. Harris toppled Ultimate Fighter alum Casey Dyer via decision in his most recent outing.
MMAJunkie was first to confirm the Brit’s signing.
