Bellator FC has made it a point to treat MMA’s rabid Canadian fanbase well in the past and is poised to do the same this November when the organization returns to Ontario. Headlined by a title-fight featuring bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas, the Bellator 79 card is also scheduled to involve separate action from hard-hitting welterweights Paul Daley and Ryan Ford.
No opponents have been named for Daley/Ford though the 14-2 Dantas will face the winner of tomorrow night’s tournament final between Luis Nogueira and Marcos Galvao.
Daley’s dance in the Bellator cage will be his second appearance under the promotion’s banner. “Semtex” stopped Rudy Bears with strikes in his debut last month. Possessing one of MMA’s most fan-friendly styles, the 29-year old Brit holds an overall record of 30-12-2 including 21 TKOs.
Ford is also familiar with the notion of finishing foes, racking up seventeen stoppages in eighteen total wins. He too made a successful Bellator debut earlier this year, stopping Luis Santos with strikes in May.
