An injury has knocked TUF alumnus Louis Gaudinot out of a planned flyweight encounter with Darren Uyenoyama. As a result of his undisclosed health-related matter, newly signed Brit Phil Harris will make his Octagon debut in place of Gaudinot.
Harris (21-9-1) recently signed with the UFC, bringing a five-fight winning streak with him. Thirteen of his victories have come by way of submission.
Meanwhile, Uyenoyama (7-3) earned a win in his UFC debut against Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto last year but hasn’t fought since. The match-up with Harris also marks his first fight at 125 pounds after moving down from bantamweight.
The October 5 event is scheduled to feature heavyweights Antonio Silva-Travis Browne battling it out in the headliner.
