Final UFC 151 fight finds home with Eddie Yagin-Dennis Siver set for UFC on FOX 5

It only took a week for the UFC to reschedule the entire lot of cancelled bouts from UFC 151. After telling Five Ounces of Pain the wheels were in motion with the organization’s matchmaking team, Eddie Yagin‘s management has since confirmed the 16-5-1 featherweight will be facing Dennis Siver (20-8) at UFC on FOX 5.

Yagin’s representative, Jason House, explained, “We are very excited for the opportunity! Eddie is ready to go! Thank you Sean Shelby for keeping this fight alive for us!”

The bout is the third fight from UFC 151 card to make it onto the fifth FOX card, currently scheduled for December 8 at the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington.

Yagin was last seen turning in a Fight of the Night performance against Mark Hominick at UFC 145 in Atlanta. Meanwhile, Siver made his featherweight debut in April where he was able to get a hotly-contested decision win over Diego Nunes.

The evening’s main event is expected to feature lightweight champion Benson Henderson putting his belt on the line against polished pugilist Nate Diaz. Other notable bouts include Rory MacDonald-B.J. Penn and Mauricio Rua-Alexander Gustafsson.

*off topic but didn’t know where else to ask* Does anyone know what happened to Mitriones new fight? On twitter he said it was cancelled again, which makes it 4 months now I think that his fight has been pushed back or cancelled.

*on topic* Glad that they finally have a date to fight again, hopefully it doesnt hurt them to much being pushed back a few months. Also for all of these fights that are getting new homes, what fights are getting pushed back/cancelled to make room?
