UFC on FOX 5 has shaped up to be quite an event for the organization’s end-of-the-year run. In what is most likely the last fight to be added to the card, bantamweights Scott Jorgensen and John Albert will square off in Seattle, Washington on the preliminary portion of the show.
Jorgensen (13-6) has split his four appearances in the UFC between wins/losses after a solid run in WEC but is currently riding a two-fight skid. After beating Ken Stone and Jeff Curran, Jorgensen dropped a decision to interim champion Renan Barao and was knocked out by Eddie Wineland. The latter marked the first time the 29-year old had suffered a strike-based stoppage of his career.
Meanwhile, ‘Prince’ Albert (7-3) has a win in the Octagon over Dustin Pague who he finished quickly at the TUF 14 Finale. Since his success he has been submitted twice in the first round by both Ivan Menjivar and Erik Perez.
UFC on FOX 5 is scheduled for December 8 at the KeyArena and features three fights that were cut from UFC 151 along with a lightweight title-fight between defending champion Benson Henderson and #1 contender Nate Diaz.
