Junior dos Santos victim of hit-and-run in Brazil

After news surfaced of yet another UFC champion involved in an accident in Brazil it’s beginning to appear as though driving a car in the South American nation may be as dangerous an endeavor as competing as a high-level Mixed Martial Artist. Fortunately, as was the case with Jose Aldo, heavyweight Junior dos Santos also escaped his ordeal without any significant injuries.

Over the weekend Dos Santos revealed he was involved in a hit-and-run where a stranger smashed into his car and then drove off.

“They just hit my car and did not stop, continued to follow the path as if it were normal,” posted Dos Santos on Twitter. “Please let us be more aware and respect others. You win nothing with violence and disrespect.”

Dos Santos also explained he didn’t have a chance to write down the license plate but hoped to never encounter the person again to avoid “bad energy”.

Maybe fighters should just not drive any kind of motorized vehicles? By the way I’m not saying that JDS or Aldo were responsible for someone else hitting them, I’m just saying it seems like fighters and motorized vehicles don’t mix for one reason or another.
