Alan Belcher battling Yushin Okami at UFC 155

After a six-year break since their first meeting, Alan Belcher and Yushin Okami will face each other for a second time inside the octagon, as the talented 185ers are on track to meet this December. The talented middleweights have been scheduled to be part of the lineup for UFC 155 on December 29 in Las Vegas.

Back at UFC 62, Okami (27-7) earned a decision victory over Belcher (18-6) in the UFC debut for both fighters.

MMAFighting  was first to report the match-up.

Okami, a former contender to the middleweight title, snapped a two-fight losing skid by besting Buddy Roberts earlier this year. “Thunder” had dropped back-to-back bouts to Anderson Silva and Tim Boetsch prior to the victory.

Belcher was set to face Vitor Belfort in October from Brazil before “The Phenom” opted to meet Jon Jones later this month at UFC 152. The situation actually worked out well for Belcher who suffered a back injury that required a bit of healing time. However, clearly he is expected to be 100% by December where he’ll try to add a fifth straight win on his record.

UFC 155 is currently scheduled to feature bouts between Chael Sonnen-Forrest Griffin, Joe Lauzon-Gray Maynard, and Junior dos Santos-Cain Velasquez.

I see Belcher getting some revenge here, I think he has improved tremendously since their first meeting and is now just entering his prime and just on a tear right now, while i see Okami starting to get in the tail end of his career.

    Belcher by TKO.

a rematch that really isnt needed. there are way better and more relevant fights for Belcher, Okami is still dangerous, if Belcher loses he is back to nothing again, if he wins well, doesnt really change his position
