It’s been awhile since fans last saw light heavyweight Krzysztof Soszynski inside the Octagon and for a time it looked like they may not get another chance after “The Polish Experiment” toyed with the idea of retirement. However, Soszynski looks like he still has some gas left in the tank and will fight at least one more time before calling it a career.
According to TATAME, the 35-year old finisher will face Brazilian Ednaldo Oliveira at UFC on FX 6. The show is scheduled for December 14 in Sydney, Australia and features Hector Lombard locking horns with Rousimar Palhares in the main event.
Oliveira will be making his 205-pound debut in the bout, dropping down after a 13-1-1 run in the division. He has also been out of action for awhile with his last fight coming in January and involving an opening round submission defeat to Gabriel Gonzaga.
Soszynski holds an overall record of 26-12-1 with 21 finishes including a near-even split between submissions/TKOs. He has not fought since December when he had a two-fight winning streak snapped. The TUF alumnus holds past victories over the likes of Mike Massenzio and Brian Stann.
