UFC’s Biggest Bloodbaths

With Halloween around the corner the flood of horror movies has picked up. However, MMA fans don’t have to head to the theater or rental kiosk to get their fill of blood – they simply need to turn on the television and watch action unfold inside the ring.

Check out a list of some of the grisliest goes in the Octagon…

Joe Stevenson vs. Yves Edwards (UFC 61 – July 8, 2006)

Picture 8 of 8

Before Stevenson’s skull was split by B.J. Penn he was busy dishing out similar damage to Edwards in a fight that left the cage crew working overtime to clean up the mess they made.

I remember Koscheck vs. Lytle being extremely bloody as well.

Plaudits for the number one pick, that fight always stands out to me as one of the bloodiest ever. literally puddles of blood every where Yves went, fucking awesome.
Also Babalu & David Heath had some great blood spatter, and a beautiful end to the fight too

Stevenson/Yves was the only fight that where a cut had me hollering at the ref to stop the fight. That was just brutal.
