It’s that time of year again when millions of people get together to celebrate Thanksgiving. And, of course, the holiday wouldn’t be complete without a significant helping of turkey…or turkeys, as the case may be when discussing some of the Mixed Martial Artists who have done anything but shine flawlessly in 2012.
Forrest Griffin has never been one to fit in a mold, saying and doing what he wants without regard for the opinions of others. While that can occasionally be a commendable attitude, in the case of his behavior at UFC 148 it was a different story. Griffin ran out of the Octagon before a decision was read in his rumble with Tito Ortiz – a fight he appeared to have in the bag. Were that not enough, Griffin then ended up taking the microphone away from Joe Rogan shortly after the scores were read to conduct an awkward interview with Ortiz who happened to be retiring after a fifteen-year, Hall of Fame career. Throw in news of an old suspension for Xanax surfacing, as well as his use of TRT, and 2012 has been a forgettable year for Griffin to say the least.
