With the Ultimate Fighter 16 wrapping last week, fans have been able to get a sense of how impressed the UFC brass actually was by the level of talent on the show based on which contestants are being booked for future action. And, as expected considering the far from flattering things UFC President Dana White had to say throughout the season, it appears very few of the competitors did anything to land another opportunity inside the Octagon.
However, semifinalists Neil Magny and Jon Manley have both earned another shot at scoring a UFC deal, as a bout between the two has reportedly been booked for February 23 at UFC 157.
MMAJunkie was first to report the fight.
Magny holds an overall record of 7-1 and was victorious in his last professional appearance. However, the lanky grappler was last seen being flattened by finalist Mike Ricci on the final episode of TUF 16. Meanwhile, Manley is also 7-1 but is riding the momentum of a two-fight winning streak and was only narrowly outpointed in his semifinal showdown with Colton Smith.
