It looks like legal woes have once again interfered with welterweight War Machine’s plans to put his skills to the test inside a Bellator cage. However, this time around it wasn’t the Ultimate Fighter alumnus’ behavior bringing law enforcement into the equation but rather that of opponent Paul Daley.
According to a report from ESPN, Daley was arrested in England for assault relating to a bar fight and is prohibited from traveling overseas as a result. As a result, “Semtex” has been pulled from his Season 8 tournament tilt with Machine and could face up to two years behind bars if convicted of the crime.
No details were provided regarding the circumstances surrounding his extra-curricular activities. Neither Bellator or Daley’s camp have released an official comment on the matter.
The 29-year old Daley has crossed the line before in terms of failing to reel in his raucousness, throwing a strike Josh Koscheck at after the conclusion of a clash in 2010. He hasn’t seen official action since July when he beat Rudy Bears in his Bellator debut.
