Hard-hitting Brazilian Evangelista Santos has been forced to withdraw from his Legacy FC 17 fight with Pete Spratt due to injury. Fortunately, promotion officials wasted little time filling the February 1 vacancy, going to sign seasoned Bellator veteran Dan Hornbuckle as a replacement.
MMAJunkie was first to report the change.
Hornbuckle is 22-5 and has been out of action since back-to-back losses under the Bellator banner. 20 of his wins have involved some form of stoppage including those over Nick Thompson, Brent Weedman, and Akihiro Gono.
The 25-21 Spratt is no stranger to finishing foes either, having 22 TKOs/submissions to his credit. He is currently riding the momentum of a two-fight winning streak.
