UFC Primetime to cover clash between Ronda Rousey-Liz Carmouche

Folks who can’t get enough of UFC champion Ronda Rousey will be happy to hear an increased dose of “Rowdy Ronda” is on tap next month during the final build towards her bout with Liz Carmouche at UFC 157. According to an official announcement, the rumble will be receive an extra rub in terms of promotion courtesy of a three-part UFC Primetime feature documenting each woman’s life on leading up to their February 23 fight.

In the past UFC Primetime treatment has been reserved for match-ups featuring superstars like Jon Jones, Anderson Silva, and Georges St-Pierre.

The first episode of the Rousey-Carmouche version of of the series will air on Friday, February 8 at 12:00 AM EST / 9:00 PM PST on Fuel TV. The same slot will also play home to new episodes on February 15 and February 22.

Rousey-Carmouche marks the first time females have fought inside the Octagon (as well as the first openly gay competitor to see action in the company’s infamous eight-sided cage). Rousey is unbeaten thus far in her career, racking up six straight wins with relative easy thanks to her Armbar wizardry. Comparably, Carmouche holds a 8-2 mark in MMA and finishes in her last two fights.
