MMA fans in Montreal will have a chance to see a few of their own in action come March 16 when the Octagon rolls into town for UFC 158. The event, already featuring the likes of Patrick Cote and Georges St-Pierre, received another local product this week when the UFC announced bantamweight Yves Jabouin had been booked in a bout against Brazilian Johnny Eduardo.
Jabouin had a three-fight winning streak snapped in his previous outing, suffering a knockout loss to Brad Pickett last September. He holds an overall mark of 18-8 including eleven instances of success resulting from a strike-based stoppage.
Meanwhile, the fight is the first for the 26-9 Eduardo since a May match-up against Jeff Curran he won by way of Unanimous Decision. The victory marked his twelfth in thirteen tilts.
