Two lightweights likely to be players in the division for years to come have been booked for action against each other at UFC on FOX 7 in the form of a fight between Ramey Nijem and Myles Jury, The 24-year old Nijem is an Ultimate Fighter finalist who hasn’t tasted defeat since dropping down to 155 pounds after a run as an undersized welterweight on the show, while Jury is the same age and hasn’t been beaten in his career other than in exhibition-level bouts.
UFC officials have confirmed the clash.
Nijem is 3-0 in his post-TUF career, taking out Joe Proctor in his most recent rumble. He holds an overall record of 7-2 with four finishes to his credit.
Comparably, Jury holds an overall record of 12-0 with ten stoppages. He has won back-to-back battles under the UFC banner including a surprising decision victory over Michael Johnson at UFC 155.
