Demetrious Johnson pulls out of TUF 17 Finale title-fight due to injury

Demetrious Johnson - UFC on FOX 6 Press ConferenceThe Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale is down a headliner after UFC officials confirmed flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson had withdrawn from a scheduled match-up with John Moraga due to an undisclosed injury. A new main event is being planned for the April 13 card though no hints have been given as to what bout the organization is eyeing.

The bout would have marked the second title-defense for Johnson after picking up a hard-fought win over John Dodson in his initial offering with the gold around his waist. He also holds wins over Joseph Benavidez and Ian McCall at 125 pounds.

Moraga (13-1) could still see action at the event depending on how long Johnson is sidelined for. The 28-year old is currently on a seven-fight winning streak with finishes in both of his UFC fights.

Other clashes currently scheduled for the Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale include Cole Miller-Bart Palaszewski, Travis Browne-Gabriel Gonzaga, and Miesha Tate-Zingano.
