Fans will get an extra injection of UFC action starting in less than six months thanks to the company’s partnership with FOX and the broadcaster’s plans for an all-encompassing sports network. Yesterday, FOX revealed FOX Sports 1 would blink into existence on August 17 with a UFC on FSN 1 card serving as part of the day’s live entertainment. More cards would then follow in the ensuing months including a show in December.
The deal between the sides to broadcast UFC on FSN lineups is said to run until 2014.
Also airing on FOX Sports 1 will be the MMA promotion’s weekly news program UFC Tonight. The show can currently be seen on Fuel TV every Tuesday night at 10:00 PM EST.
