All systems seem to be go for a bout between streaking welterweights Jason High and Ildemar Alcantara in the coming months. Though not officially announced, it appears the talented twosome have been booked for a battle in Brazil on June 8 at the Ultimate Fighter Brasil 2 Finale.
The 16-3 High hasn’t lost since his lone appearance in the Octagon nearly three years ago, picking up seven straight victories including success against Jordan Mein, Hayato Sakurai, and most recently Nate Moore.
Meanwhile, fans may remember Alcantara from his decision to take a last minute match-up with light heavyweight Wagner Prado at UFC on FX 7 only to win the evening’s Submission of the Night prize. Back at his regular weight, the 18-5 Alcantara is on an eight-fight run with seven stoppages in the bunch.
