Welterweight Matt Riddle wasn’t a free agent for long, signing a deal to compete under the Legacy FC banner in multiple bouts. Riddle, who has a license for medical marijuana, was released by the UFC after testing positive for pot use twice in less than a year despite success in both of the affected bouts.
The 27-year old confirmed the contract last night on Twitter. No date/opponent were mentioned for his debut.
Riddle holds an overall record of 7-3 (with the pair of aforementioned victories now labeled as No Contests due to his drug issues). All of his fights have come in the Octagon after showing up on the Ultimate Fighter 7 with no professional bouts under his belt.
