UFC middleweight Chris Leben recently assured fans his next fight was sure to be a crowd-pleaser after a lackluster showing against Derek Brunson late last year and, based on a recent report from UFC Tonight, it’s easy to see why. According to the show, Leben will lock horns with Andrew Craig on July 6 at UFC 162, adding to a card already featuring 185-pound action in bouts between Tim Kennedy-Roger Gracie, Mark Munoz-Tim Boetsch, and Anderson Silva-Chris Weidman.
Craig suffered the first loss of his career in January, suffering a decision loss to Ronny Markes. Prior to the stumble he’d come out with his hand raised in eight efforts including triumphs in the Octagon over Rafael Natal and Kyle Noke.
Similarly to Craig, “The Crippler” prefers to stand and bang rather than take things to the ground. Leben holds an overall record of 22-9 with seventeen stoppages.
