One of the UFC’s up-and-coming title-contenders has drawn action against one of the organization’s former challengers in the form of a fight between featherweights Hacran Dias and Manny Gamburyan. Dias is on an impressive run, picking up wins in his last nine outings, while Gamburyan competed for the WEC title in 2010 and is also a former Ultimate Fighter finalist.
The 12-7 Gamburyan hasn’t fought since an August outpointing of Michihiro Omigawa. He also holds past wins over Leonard Garcia and Mike Brown.
Diaz is 20-1-1 in his career, adding to the stable of successful fighters attached to the Nova Uniao group. Twelve of his victories have featured some form of stoppage.
