Che Mills fighting Cathal Pendred for title at Cage Warriors 55

Cathal Pendred - Cage WarriorsWelterweight Che Mills saw a disappointing run in the UFC end last month after losing a decision to Matt Riddle in front of his fellow Brits. However, the defeat was later ruled a No Contest due to Riddle’s marijuana use, and it looks like things are still on the upswing for Mills.

According to an official announcement, Mills has been tabbed for a title-shot on June 1 at Cage Warriors 55 where he’ll face champion Cathal Pendred in front of the Irishman’s hometown fans in Dublin. A four-man flyweight tournament will also unfold at the event.

The 15-5 Mills has scored stoppages in twelve of his wins. Among his notable past victories are those against Chris Cope, Jake Hecht, and Marius Zaromskis.

Though a relative unknown in the States, Pendred is one of Europe’s top prospects at 12-2-1 with five wins by TKO. The 25-year old hasn’t been beaten in more than two years, racking up a 6-0-1 record in the span since.
