Bellator’s roster may not feature the star-power of Ronda Rousey but the organization absolutely has more than a few talented up-and-coming women under contract. Unfortunately, one of the company’s brightest prospects has been forced out of an April 4 fight after going down in the gym.
Flyweight Jessica Eye recently revealed she would no longer be able face Munah Holland at Bellator 95, regretfully explaining, “I have suffered a terrible back injury that has kept me out of training.”
Eye is 9-1 and on a six-fight winning streak including an impressive finish of former champion Zoila Gurgel in December. Meanwhile, Bellator officials have not confirmed whether a replacement will be found or if Holland (5-2) will also be pulled from the card.
