UFC bantamweight Raphael Assuncao has quietly compiled a three-fight winning streak in the Octagon including a December outpointing of rising contender Mike Easton. Though he isn’t currently scheduled for action, that appears likely to change in the coming weeks, as the submission-specialist recently took to Twitter to announce he’d extended his deal with the UFC and would be seeing action again sooner than later.
“New UFC, four-fight deal contract under way can’t wait to fight again! Got some news coming up shortly,” Assuncao exclaimed.
Assuncao holds a 19-4 mark in MMA with twelve stoppages including nine by way of submission. In addition to Easton, the 30-year old has emerged triumphant against opponents including Yves Jabouin, Jorge Masvidal, and Joe Lauzon.
