UFC middleweight Chris Camozzi has started establishing himself as somewhat of a force at 185 pounds, winning four fights in a row including success against the likes of Luiz Cane and Nick Ring. Though he fought two weeks ago at UFC 158, Camozzi isn’t looking to sit on the sidelines and will attempt to continue his hot streak sooner than expected.
According to an official announcement, Camozzi will face Cezar “Mutante” on May 18 at UFC on FX 8. The Brazilian’s original opponent, C.B. Dollaway, was forced out of the fight due to an undisclosed injury.
The 19-5 Camozzi has finished eleven of the foes he’s felled with a near-even split between TKOs/submissions. Six of his wins have come inside the Octagon.
“Mutante” is 5-2 in his career and emerged as the last man standing in his division on TUF Brasil.
