With Invicta FC 5 around the corner it’s fitting the UFC has announced a newly forged fight featuring two talented bantamweight females, as Alexis Davis and Rosi Sexton are officially set to square off this summer at UFC 161. The bout will mark the Octagon debut for both women.
Davis has won four of her last five fights including success against Amanda Nunes, Julie Kedzie, Hitomi Akano, and Shayna Baszler. The Ontario native, who will definitely be the crowd favorite at the Canada-bound card, holds an overall record of 13-5 with nine finishes.
Meanwhile, the 13-2 Sexton has an equal number of stoppages to her credit. She is currently on a three-fight winning streak but hasn’t seen action in nearly a year.
UFC 161 is scheduled for June 15. Interim bantamweight champ Renan Barao will put his belt on the line against Eddie Wineland in the main event with other notable match-ups including Mauricio Rua-Antonio Rogerio Nogueira and Dan Henderson-Rashad Evans.
