No, you didn’t oversleep or error as though the Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale was show being held overseas with an early start time. Rather, the list of salaries attached to this evening’s competitors has already been released despite the card still being hours away from unfolding.
According to a report from MMAJunkie, headlining bantamweight Urijah Faber will make more than Scott Jorgensen in their main event match-up even if “Young Guns” comes out with a win in tow. Faber is scheduled to earn $55,000 as a base salary with another $55,000 if victorious. Comparably, Jorgensen has $23,500 coming his way with the amount being doubled in the event he’s successful.
Meanwhile, Miesha Tate is scheduled to receive $28,000 to show and $28,000 to win, while opponent Cat Zingano is in line for a quarter of each amount depending on how she fares at $7,000/$7,000. Heavyweights Gabriel Gonzaga and Travis Browne are also in line for a relatively nice check at $24,000/$24,000 and $20,000/$20,000 respectively.
All TUF 17 fighters, including the finalists, are set for an $8,000 payday at minimum with another $8,000.
