Ultimate Fighter 15 winner Michael Chiesa will attempt to improve his record to 3-0 inside the Octagon on July 27 when he mixes it up with Reza Madadi at UFC on FOX 8. Though Chiesa’s grappling prowess has helped produce the bulk of his career wins, he should have a hard time putting Madadi away considering the Swede has yet to be finished in sixteen professional appearances.
UFC officials have confirmed the match-up.
Chiesa is unbeaten nine fights into his career with seven wins by way of submission including a stoppage in each of his last six scraps. Thus far he has picked up wins over Al Iaquinta and Anton Kuivanen since showing up in the UFC.
The 13-3 Madadi is coming off an upset win over Michael Johnson and has come out victorious in eight of his last nine efforts. Like Chiesa, most of Madadi’s wins have come as the result of a tap-out.
