The UFC decided to sneak in one more scrap attached to UFC on FOX 8 before the weekend began, recently announcing future action between middleweights Ed Herman and Trevor Smith. Both men hail from the Pacific Northwest and should draw a number of regional fans considering the July 27 event will emanate from Seattle, Washington.
Herman holds an overall record of 20-9 including eighteen wins by way of stoppage. Among the opponents “Short Fuse” has scored success against are the likes of Kyle Noke, David Louiseau, and Glover Teixeira.
The 10-3 Smith will be making his UFC debut in the tilt but could be competing for his job nonetheless after suffering stumbles in two of his last three fights. That being said, he has finished all of the adversaries he’s beaten with the bulk of his victories coming via submission.
