UFC middleweight Clifford Starks may have taken to the Octagon for the final time in his career last month in a losing effort to Yoel Romero. Starks was knocked out by Romero in the opening round of their undercard fight at UFC on FOX 7, the second straight instance of the 32-year old being finished.
Though UFC officials have stayed tight-lipped on the situation as is usually the case, MMAOpinion is reporting Starks’ was released as a result of the defeat to Romero.
Starks entered the UFC with a 7-0 record and won his debut against Dustin Jacoby by way of decision. Four of his wins have featured some form of stoppage including three TKOs.
