Welterweight Matt Riddle will no longer fight at Legacy FC 21 as originally expected though chances are the 27-year old will still see action this summer under a different organization’s banner. According to multiple reports, Riddle’s contract with Legacy FC was acquired by Bellator, putting him in position compete in a division already populated by peers like Paul Daley, Karl Amoussou, Ben Saunders, Douglas Lima, or even champion Ben Askren.
Inside MMA was first to report the transaction. No date or opponent has been attached to Riddle’s official unveiling.
Riddle’s run in the ring has produced a 7-3 mark in addition to two wins later changed to No Contests based on failed drug tests for marijuana use. All of his professional appearances have taken place inside the Octagon.
