A bout between Ultimate Fighter alumni has been booked, albeit one between a member of the American version’s cast versus one from Brazil. Specifically, Sergio Moraes will mix it up with Neil Magny when the UFC heads to Rio de Janeiro in late summer.
Brazilian outlet SporTV was first to report the rumble. Officials have yet to confirm the clash’s addition to the UFC 163 lineup. The card is set for August 3 and will feature Jose Aldo defending his featherweight title against Anthony Pettis in the main event.
Moraes is a slick 7-2 grappler who made a name for himself on TUF Brasil. He was last seen choking out Renee Forte in October to pick up his sixth victory by way of submission.
Like Moraes, Magny is coming off a win inside the Octagon after outpointing TUF 16 cast-mate Jon Manley a few months back at UFC 157. He holds an overall record of 8-1 with four finishes to his credit.
