UFC heavyweight Shawn Jordan went into UFC 161 as the underdog against Pat Barry but came out as one of the evening’s biggest winners, landing Knockout of the Night for his surprising stoppage of Pat Barry. Jordan’s finish came in the opening round of action and earned him an extra $50,000 as a result.
Meanwhile, lightweight James Krause scored Submission of the Night with a late finish of opponent Sam Stout. The performance marked the thirteenth tap-out of Krause’s career. Like Jordan, Krause brought home $50,000 for the distinction.
Stout-Krause was also awarded Fight of the Night meaning the latter made another $50,000 on top of his other winnings. Stout too receive $50k for the entertaining effort.
