UFC light heavyweight Glover Teixeira has faced a number of notable opponents throughout his career and come out on top against a plethora of styles as a result. However, despite more than twenty tilts to his credit, he’s never locked horns with a high-level wrestler.
That will change this fall when Teixeira takes on Ryan Bader at UFC on FS 3. Porto do Vale Tudo was first to report the fight. The two were scheduled to square off last month before Bader was forced out of the duel due to injury.
Bader holds an overall record of 14-3 with past success against opponents including Vinny Magalhaes, Antonio Rogerio Nogueira, Keith Jardine, and Quinton Jackson. We last seen submitting Vladimir Matyushenko in the bout’s opening round, his third win in four fights.
The 21-2 Teixeira is a top contender with a 4-0 mark inside the Octagon. All but three of his wins have featured some form of finish.
