It was a good Saturday night for UFC and Strikeforce veterans in Kansas City, Missouri who took to the cage at GWC: British Invasion, as a number of known competitors came away from the event with a hand raised including the likes of Andre Winner, Oli Thompson, Bobby Lashley, and Kendall Grove. Of course, not all of the card’s biggest names exited in triumph, as Drew Fickett and Ricco Rodriguez were among the list of the event’s losers.
Grove picked up a TKO win in the first frame of his fight with Danny Mitchell. The performance improved his record to 18-13 and snapped a three-fight skid for the Ultimate Fighter 3 champion.
Meanwhile, Lashley is now 9-2 after securing the fifth submission of his career, choking out Matt Larsen less than two minutes into their tilt. The former WWE Superstar has won four of his last five fights.
