UFC 162 Medical Suspensions: Silva, Boetsch, Siver all on list

With six knockouts and a handful of all-out battles it’s no surprise UFC 162 produced a number of athletes requiring time on the sidelines to deal with health-related issues stemming from their respective rumbles. Fortunately, only a trio of fighters should see more than a month or two on the shelf with only one serious injury in the bunch.

According to a list of suspensions provided by the Nevada Athletic Commission, Kazuki Tokudome suffered a broken orbital bone in his loss to Norman Parke and will be out until January unless cleared by a specialist sooner. Meanwhile, Dennis Siver and David Mitchell are both suspended until October 5 for unspecified reasons.

Most notably in the group, headliner Anderson Silva will be out until at least August 21 for precautionary reasons related to his knockout loss to Chris Weidman.
