A pair of Ultimate Fighter alumni has been booked for action at UFC 165 against one another in the form of a bout between bantamweights Alex Caceres and Roland Delorme. Both have strung together a handful of wins in their most recent outings and should be looking to impress in hopes of taking the next step up in terms of opposition.
UFC officials confirmed the clash earlier today.
“Bruce Leeroy” holds an overall record of 8-5 with six stoppages to his credit. He is 2-0 since his last loss though the streak would feature a third victory had the 26-year old passed a subsequent drug test. Instead, he is coming off a six-month suspension for marijuana use and has little room for error in the upcoming effort.
Likewise, the 9-1 Delorme has wins in his last three tilts but saw a loss changed to a No Contest when his opponent was popped for a banned substance. All but one of his victories have featured a finish including eight via submission.
UFC 165 is scheduled for September 21 in Toronto. The card is headlined by a title-bout between light heavyweight champ Jon Jones and challenger Alexander Gustafsson, while interim bantamweight king Renan Barao will put his belt on the line against Eddie Wineland.
