UFC middleweight Michael Bisping has been talking plenty of trash about Mark Munoz since a match-up between the two was announced for an October 26 show in England. The smack-spewing Brit has even tried to make things personal by poking fun at a bout of depression Munoz overcame after being shelved for a year due to injury.
Though Munoz is well-aware of Bisping’s behavior, the 13-3 “Filipino Wrecking Machine” isn’t bothered by it for a few reasons. Not only is he confident he has what it takes to beat “The Count” at UFC Fight Night 30, but he isn’t at all concerned with Bisping’s arsenal of abilities.
“That stuff doesn’t bother me. I show my talk inside the Octagon,” said Munoz in an interview with RM Sports contributor Rick J. Lee. “He was telling me he was going to beat me into depression…but the fact of the matter is, he has pillows for fists. He hasn’t knocked anybody out and he said he’s gonna knock me out? He hasn’t knocked anybody out. It is gonna be like a pillow fight when I fight him. He’s gonna have pillows and I have hammers, so who is gonna win that fight?”
“Plain and simple, I have what it takes to beat him and beat him dominantly,” he concluded.
Bisping (24-5) has compiled fourteen TKOs to his credit though he’s known more for the volume of strikes he lands rather than putting opponents to sleep with a singular shot.
