Sarah Kaufman Officially Off UFC Fight Night 27

Sarah Kaufman Officially Off UFC Fight Night 27

After an extensive search for a replacement, Sarah Kaufman will not be fighting at the end of the month at UFC Fight Night 27. Sara McMann was set to fight Kaufman on the UFC’s return to trip to Indianapolis, but McMann was forced from the card with an injury. The bout was set for the main card, and they are expected to announce later today which bout will be moved up to the main card.

MMAJunkie reported the news earlier today. Kaufman will now be rescheduled to fight on another card in the near future.

Still slated as the main event, Welterweights Martin Kampmann and Carlos Condit will duke it out on the UFC’s return trip to Indianapolis. This will be the second time Condit and Kampmann will fight, they first fought at UFC Fight Night 18 in April of 2009, and Kampmann walked away with a split decision.

This sucks, same thing happened when she was scheduled to fight for Invicta, seems after losing to Ronda she’s had bad luck after bad luck, her getting injured, then her opponents getting injured

Agreed bad luck for Sarah, hope to see her get in there with McMann soon as that looks to be a great test and a sure #1 contender match.

My guess is that Kaufman will fight Zingano for the number 1 spot. That would be a good replacement for this scrap.

That’d be crappy to take #1 contender away from Zingano just because she got hurt, she should get the next shot between whoever wins with Tate/Rousey 2
