It had been more than three years since UFC lightweight Anthony Pettis scored a submission win but the waiting was clearly worth it, as the 26-year old’s Armbar stoppage of Benson Henderson at UFC 164 was easily the biggest tap-out of his career. The first frame finish earned Pettisthe divisional belt in addition to $50,000 for the show’s Submission of the Night
Knockout of the Night (and the attached $50,000) was won by Chad Mendes after delivering the first strike-based stoppage of Clay Guida’s career. The end result came in the third round of their tilt, giving Mendes his fourth straight TKO victory.
Finally, undercard competitors Hyung Gyu Lim and Pascal Krauss split $100,000 as the recipients of the evening’s Fight of the Night. The twosome went toe-to-toe for nearly four minutes before Lim scored a TKO win.
