Both Lauzon and Danzig have done a solid job in the Octagon since showing up on TUF. While the latter hasn’t necessarily lived up to his potential after winning Season 6, he’s still around six years later and been part of some memorable match-ups. Of course, Danzig’s days in the UFC could be numbered after losing three of his last four fights, and Lauzon is in a similar position with back-to-back defeats to his credit despite a slew of performance-based bonuses. Fortunately, neither is apprehensive when it comes to action, so their shared desperation for victory and general aggression should ultimately deliver a highly entertaining effort on the evening’s undercard.
2013 has been a historic year for the UFC in terms of their partnership with FOX. In addition to producing four events for the chief network, the organization also helped launch FOX Sports 1 and delivered a ton of additional action through FX/Fuel TV. Both parties look ready to end the twelve-month period on a high-note with a steadily growing star-studded lineup for UFC on FOX 9. The December 14 event already features a title-fight, plus two tilts with contendership implications as well as a pair of bouts between seasoned veterans with something to prove.
